A Kabaleyan’s Thoughts…
Positive stroke in life
By Bill Jimenez
RECOVERING from stroke, I have now realized and learned to accept this as a positive stroke in my life. Instead of thinking negatively, blaming myself and even God, I have learned to think of it as a positive force and a blessing.
With limited ability to perform my usual activities, I try to use and maximize my opportunities.
Consider all this free time I can devote myself to prayers, meditations and even writing this devotional piece. Even with much difficulty, I try to share God’s word through Facebook and writing this devotional piece for Sunday Punch’s A Kabaleyan’s Thought. Now, I have all this time to meditate and share biblical verses and messages to my FB friends and SP readers.
Instead of continually blaming myself and even God of my “misfortune” I have now this attitude of Job: “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him” (Job 13:15a).
Likewise, I delight with Paul assured by the Lord: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Sing: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”
BIBLE THOUGHT: “I CAN DO EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH” (PHILIPPIANS 4:13).

Pray: Almighty God and loving Father, thank you for reminding us of some positive strokes in life. Help us to understand fully your ways and messages in our life. May we learn to accept your will with peace, gratitude and understanding. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
