Think about it
Light after dark

“Come near to God and He will come near to you.“– James 4:8
WE congratulate the Ebdanes — Governor Jun and son, Congressman-elect Omar — for their masterly handle of politics in Zambales.
Omar, the youngest son of Jun and the former Alma Cabanayan of San Nicolas, Pangasinan, came out landslide winner in the special elections on February 4 to fill the vacancy left by the late Congressman Antonio Diaz.
Omar was a sure winner from the start of the campaign. When erpat became governor, Omar was designated provincial administrator, a post that gave him the best opportunity to “spread his wings” in the art of service in the province. Little did he and everyone probably know that his round the clock work (” erpat is a slave-driver”) would catapult him to a seat in congress in no time at all.
He won over closest rival, Atty. Cheryl Deloso, by a whooping almost 6,000 votes margin.

The darkness that fell on some parts of Negros Oriental due to a 6.9 earthquake over the weekend — less than a month after Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City got crushed by storms and floods — is a clear sign of an uncertain future, that characterize the Tribulation.
Uncertain only in the casual, worldly sense.
Earlier, we were devastated by the horrific tsunami that destroyed a wide section of Japan. Before that in various parts of our country, big, unprecedented floods brought by cyclones Ondoy and Pepeng slammed the country. Thousands have died.
Right now, they are holding earthquake mitigation drill in Marikina, which lies in a fault line.
Many parts of the country are doing the same. We, too, in Pangasinan — thanks to our responsible officials — are not taking chances.
We are not taking chances vis-à-vis natural disasters. Well and good. But the record and personal experiences have shown that no amount of preparation would save us from the onslaughts of nature. We are like Lilliputians against tidal waves and giant floods.
There’s a preparation we can avail ourselves that is within reach every minute of our lives. We need the shield and armory of God.
We call it “Jesus Divine Department of Defense and Security. We who believe in Jesus are sure that after the chaos and destruction, the reign of Christ for a thousand years follows, with those who believe in Him, a millennium of peace.
Our friend Pastor Jun Fermill, son of our former late editor Joe’n Fermill, sent yesterday this text message: “Greet the new day with much optimism, be ready for surprises that will come your way because Jesus has blessed you even before you woke up.”

Notes: The clinic of Dr. Robin Navarro, controversial but most effective physician we’ve met, has been moved from Tapuac to Arellano Street, Dagupan City, at the former Sony building. The trouble with Robin is that he is alone in the physicians’ field, but his prescriptions are perfect and scripture-based. Hallelujia.
