AT LAST, per advice of elder brod Cesar, our pen puts to rest our commentary on Dr. Voltaire Arzadon.
Pasalamat siya for free advertising. He has become very popular because of our column. Mahal yon, pare Ermin, di ba?
Anyway, we did it not only for Cesar actually but for journalism. Whether brother or not, when there’s a victim of injustice, we try to do something.
We heard Voltaire has been finally (after five columns) broken his uneasy peace and started to defend himself. That’s better. He should have done it a long time ago.
Whatever he says, we’re reminded by the late former Board Member Agerico Rosario who in his characteristic wit, would shrug off defensive remarks thus, “agti pala mantitilaan!”

O what a young dynamic man our friend Ashok Vasandani has sired!
We refer to VJ, president of Lyceum Northwestern University’s supreme student council. Playing a key role in the LNU college festivities on February 21-24, VJ is trying hard to get Parokya ni Edgar show to the campus. VJ has the joy and pleasure of the students in mind.
Ashok is happy kasi may heir na siya sa campus, civic and community leadership.
May your tribe increase, VJ!

Governor Amado Espino Jr.’s State of the Province was characteristically long, but it was interesting due to its unassailable details on programs and projects done.
Health care, investments, and…wait a minute, what’s this? He sounded a bit piqued on the so-called black sand mining in a juicy portion of Lingayen town. Mukhang yon lang ata ang medyo natinag ang kirep natin a, Butch. Otherwise, everything was rosy, beautiful, grand, masterful, talagan doer ang ating gobernador, awa, Raffy?
The brohaha over the mining caper somewhat drew away the fire from a world-class eco tourism project the provincial government is doing there. Totoo naman. We’ve seen the place and we are impressed. Let’s be thankful that a group of Korean investors has taken interest on that unsung if abandoned corner of Lingayen.
To refer to Prov’l Admin Raffy’s outburst over the handiwork of political obstructionists, the black son extraction was merely incidental. Agtila pababalegen ya, ah, political babakes!
The province is already up there into greater things. We’ve been left behind by our crab mentality and obstructionist attitude.
Let’s keep pace with our workaholic Governor. Let’s go!
Thanks to him for not forgetting our effort in restoring the province’s history. He believes that a people who do not know their past cannot plot their future.
Thanks God, our critic from the website who often nitpicks us in the internet on the ground, he avers, that the writing of Pangasinan’s history was a decision arrived at a drinking session with Jun Velasco. So what! We wish to inform the nitpicker that many earth-moving ideas come from unusual settings.
Mabuhay ka, Gov. Spines. Mabuhay ang Pangasinan!
