Benjie is too clever for SP foes

By Gonzalo Duque

WE were flattered no end by Gov. Amado “Spines” Espino during his delivery of his State Of the Province Address last week.

Our beerkda in Dagupan who heard him on radio and the local TV kept asking, “ano ba pinakain mo kay Gobernor, binida ka niya sa SOPA niya”

This was how we answered them, “panon to met ey, marunong kumilatis ng talent.

Lastog!” kway lalasi. We assured them though as we assure you, dear readers, that we saw in our governor a giant heart and a razor-sharp sharp mind who know whom to tap to advance his program for the province. Alowan galawgalaw itay pantrabahoen nin gob na historia na Pangainan, di po ba?

Soon, we’d start to work, that’s why, ikaw ha, Jun V, tayo ang nagsimula nito, tama yong taga Estados Unidos, who usually picked on this columnist using the Punch website that kesyo, the birth and establishment of the Pangasinan Historical and Cultural Commission that we now heads and tasked to manage to document massive research on Pangasinan’s past in hopes that they’d form part of the educational curriculum in the province. Alowan mainomay itan, agagui, katon, iablit yo pad  pare Spines ya pondoan toy marakep yay balon proyekto tayo. We know he won’t play hard on this. Because he is a good leader.

Did you know that we have spoken to many young Pangasinenses. It’s sad that they know very little about the province, like laros, Andres Malong, the leader of the province, they know nothing. We shall say now that that is a thing of the past, and we should thank the creation of the PHCC.

What is now the score on the political embarrassment in the Dagupan City government?

Everywhere we go, people would casually say a bad word or two about our city politicians.

Ala na silang inaatupag kundi pansarili lamang, kaya, ayan, laban, atakehan, angapo lay pansampoptan!

But take note, Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez and company, memedyo manalwarkayo ta beterano tay kalaban yo. Say makatalo lambengat edsatan a too, si Manong Joe. Don’t be deluded by certain media advisers’

Congrats to our friend, Pat Urmaza, who was promoted regional director of LTO. It’s a well-deserved position having risen from the ranks.

The always smiling Pat is very professional about his job, and yet maintains legions of friends.

Pakape ka la sirin ed Pedritos, pare. Mainit at makainspire so kape diman. Happy Valentines to you all!
