Bishop Villegas now a member of Rotary Uptown

PHILIP Siapno of Atanor restaurant informs this column that the mayoral race in Sta. Barbara is like a dogfight.

Why dogfight? “Kasi,” kuay Philip, “matira ang matibay, angapo ni sure.”
We met an ally of Mayor Al Fernandez. He said it is also anybody’s game in Dagupan.
Whoever can construct a new city hall will be the one, we mean, the winner.

Congratulate the Rotary Cluster C for inviting Bishop Socrates Villegas as their guest speaker last Thursday. But particular honor goes to the host club, Uptown Dagupan led by Councilor Dada Reyna. He will be the 2nd Catholic bishop to become a Philippine Rotarian that we know, the first being the past District governor Sinense.
Sikat na naman ang Uptown ha, Dada? Congrats!
The good Bishop issued pointers in selecting the next president – he must first of all have integrity. 2nd, he must be competent at dapat may utak, the power of discretion; must have a track record or experience.
We proposed a 4th one, he must be acceptable.

The youths of Pangasinan are showing preference for Noynoy in the presidential race. We did an impromptu survey at LNU and other groups, and we got identical pro Noynoy majority.
We say this not because we belong to the Liberal Party. Di sana, Gibo tayo because we have been supportive of GMA
We think the youths here are knowledgeable of the issues. They love Ninoy and Cory. And they believe that Noynoy can carry on their legacy.
We were surprised at the massive votes for Noynoy Aquino in random surveys we made. Amta u, no aglabat managsaliw na botos yay Manny Villar, lopsided o runaway victory la nen Noynoy. Mabuhay so Aquino-Roxas team!
