Belen Fernandez back on track?
By Gonzalo Duque
AS the election campaign begins, all the candidates seeking our precious votes have started acting in many funny ways, putting up their ridiculous antics.
There they go, donning forced smiles, flexing their muscles for firm handshakes, wearing thick hides and false faces to hide their hurt and dislikes.
This is what we really don’t like about election politics. Plastikan. Mga kapalmuks ano?
Well, that’s the way it goes. Matira ang matibay. Nakakhiya talaga. Dehins pwede yong mga sensitibo. And mga desente ay feeling nauseated.
Sa totoo lang mga cumpares and cumares, naawa tayo sa kanila… because deep in their hearts, amta tayo na sinisikmura nila ang hindi sana kaya. Ay, talaga, for the sake of getting your votes, they resort to the unthinkable, sasayaw sa kalsada o kahit saan, may pakankanta, pakinding kinding pa, but we’re told, they also do similar things in the other countries.
Kaya kayo ha, those of you who have been egging us to re-enter politics, ay, panpangasi yo pa, pakan yo ak palay maetan botayong, o dino sangkaaksengan ya tamarindo, pwede ba, huwag na ang pulitika. That was before, now no more.
Our friend Orly Navarro in his lively broadcast commentary describes our politics the art of government off the people, buy the people and poor the people.” ha ha ha… bullseye, Pare Orly. Nayari kan talaga!

The presidential derby tends to show all or most of the candidates are conspiring against GMA. They are missing the point. GMA will not be staying in the Palasyo anymore.
Why can’t they just focus on what they can do as the next leader of the country?
Isn’t that the issue our people want?

Finally, re-electionist Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez called up. Ok pala pag magkiliti tayo sa kolum at sasagot din ano?
Well, the fact is we are really impressed with her work ethic as a politician.
She assured us that if elected again, her first priority is the construction of a new city hall in Dagupan City. Too late the heroine?
Well, better late than never. Look at Calasiao. They just inaugurated their spanking new municipio.. yes, after they burned down the old one. We’re not saying, Belen, that we burn down our Jurassic presidencia ha, but you may if you want to take the risk he he he. Hoy, we are not giving you ideas ha?
What really matters in this city of Al Fernandez and Benjie Lim should by now have a new world-class city hall! Pa-Guiness Guiness tayo, laos naman ang ating city hall. Wake up, little Susie!

Did you know that Speaker Prospero Nograles is behind the construction of a P200 million gym of a state university in Davao?
Why did not former Speaker Joe do something like it by way of a new Dagupan city hall?
Agkad tan elek elek Benjie ha, ta nen ok kayo ni nen Kuya Joe, agmo inatupag ya pa pondoan so balon city hall. Naku, kaya sa darating na eleksyon, wala akong kandidatong meyor.
