Think about it
Waterless folk

A VERY powerful, hair-raising (?) campaign against formula milk which is being valiantly fought by Pingkoy Duque’s DoH shows a puppy suckling from a mother dog, a piglet from a mother pig and, here’s the punchline, human babies suckling from animal cows!
Shocking? Read on.
We had this world health authority from Malaysia who has been campaigning against cow’s milk all his life, blaming it for the many ailments of humans since time immemorial.
Millions have already signed up with the campaign anchoring their argument on the theory that we need to avoid cow’s milk if only to defeat all these diseases we’ve been getting and, of course, for longevity and lasting wellness.
Man’s proverbial temper, inclination to violence, depression, manic behavior, allergy, asthma and cancer — all this and many more, the study shows, are due to the milk from cows. Careful then with the yummy-tasting drink we’ve enjoyed since we were babies.
We’re sure Pingkoy Duque and his hard-hitting staff will say “amen” being on the forefront against formula milk.

At least, Christians and Maoists are one at heart in rewarding those who have done something good for the community.
A good act, says the Good book, is its own reward.
This truism should have illumined certain barangay Lucao officials who high handedly stopped an ongoing construction of a community artesian well facility for drought-stricken residents of Sitio Tocok.
It appears that the irate barangay officials – or their barangay captain – was annoyed by a good Samaritan action of a balikbayan for convincing Speaker Joe de Venecia to appropriate funds from his CDF for the water facility project.
Taking a cue from the heartrending scene, the DPWH started the works soon enough. For a long time now since Adam and Eve, the Tocok folk have been praying for drinking water. They had to go to another barangay or the poblacion via a motorized banca to buy the life giving fluid.
Back to the Tocok fireworks. One day last week, the ongoing work on the water facility was stopped. It should be obvious who in the place had the audacity and the gall to show off to the chagrin of residents who were jubilant too prematurely. Reason for the stoppage: the job was not coordinated with the barangay official.
In the face off, kapitan told balikbayan, himself an ex-kapitan of Barangay Tapuac and president of the city association of barangay captains in the Manaois years, that he was upstaging everybody.
It’s common knowledge though that the aborted project is known everywhere. The balikbayan is a buddy of many Pangasinan journalists – Gerry Garcia, Cesar Carpio, Ruben Rivera, Orly Guirao, Fr. Ming Beltran, Ani Lagao, many others. Some of them drank red wine with the DPWH crew who sank the first pipe of a proposed 28-pipe pole on the spot designated by Kapitan Fernandez.
Ay, there’s the rub!

Due to the government’s open door policy, many places hereabouts are in the hands of aliens.
They may not be visible because they know where to rob our wealth — in business.
In Pangasinan, many powerful Chinese fishermen have cornered the juiciest fishing contracts thru fish cages in West Pangasinan.
How do the moneyed fish cage operators smuggle themselves into our fishing grounds by the Lingayen Gulf? Simple. They bribe our local officials. No permit, but they grab our fattest fish catch. No wonder, we remain poor while these alien fishermen become rich.
Oh, well, some Filipinos who are in cahoots with the Chinese fishermen get rich quick, too, maybe a little quicker than the Chinese.
Quo Vadis, Philippines?
