Opposition’s goal too risky for future

MY columns endorsing the re-election of   Speaker JdV received so many reactions, some critical, but mostly heart-warming. One reaction, from balikbayan Alfredo Dawana, best friend of Lito and Auring Reyna, texted me, “your column on Speaker is heaven-sent in this intriguing era of our lives. Keep it up.”

Still another one, from a fellow Jaycee, now a great guy in Metro Manila, said, “Gons, you amazed me. The guy you are endorsing was your tormentor in two congressional races where you lost.  You must be some sort of a martyr or a saint.  Anyway, well said, your column won my vote for the speaker.”

Thank you, but mind you, I have not been talking to the Speaker except when he spoke at the Lyceum Northwestern University’s graduation rites where he was given a standing ovation.

Kuya Ado said it more aptly, “the country’s forward movement should not be hampered. The President needs JdV in congress to sustain national growth.” Further, Kuya   Ado warns that an opposition victory will push us to back to square one.”

Opposition victory?

Makapataktakot!  Just listen to their rhetoric, read thru their public outcries, feel their   shouts, all they want is to crush to pieces our beloved President. Sabi nga ng mga defenders ni Ate Glo “wala  na  silang ginawa kundi siraan at siraan ang Pangulo.”

I thought GMA’s handlers were oversimplifying things, but on second thought  they were correct. Nakakatindig ng balahibo, makapataktakot na ilagay sa poder ang mga taga opposition, walang plataporma, panay bomba, fight, fight, fight, they are skinning the dainty president like she were a little kitten.

It’s too obvious to be ignored. Their Black and White Movement showed its true color as collaborators of the opposition   in their self-imposed dark agenda to annihilate the President.  Kawawa naman, I mean, kawawa naman ang bayan, the President  has been giving all her might to get things moving on the right track, e, binablock naman nila, tapos, sasabihin nila, Gloria resign, e, wala naman silang itinulong sa pagpapaunlad ng bayan. They would create things for the country to fail and then they blame the President. What kind of animals are these? Ano sila, siniswerte? Gandang buhay nila ano?

As they said “you should know them by their actions.”
