Playing with Fire
Ano ba yan, Manong Joe?

FIRST the good news.
Bear with me if I start with the successful Lyceum Northwestern U’s nursing alumni homecoming held very recently in the city.
A lot of people wondered how our LNU which started small has grown this much. Well, it has, and I, in behalf of the family, wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
I wish to make special mention to alumni Myrna Esguerra, Sally Makkil and Freddie Duque who were largely responsible for the great reunion event.
Our alumni are the most indelible proof of our institution’s contribution to God, country and people. But we are humbled by your support through the years.
Thank you!

As of this writing, the national political scene shows an opposition going nowhere.
Look at Atong Ang whose about-face stand re his close buddy Erap Estrada is a big crack in the opposition ranks. Fact is, Atong merely reinforced what Mark Jimenez did earlier.
You must have seen and heard former Senator Kit Tatad, Tessie Oreta and Senator Tito Sotto who have all started distancing themselves from the opposition.
This turmoil is not much felt in Pangasinan being an administration bailiwick. But watch more events in the national scene that would show the crippling of the opposition.
As a well-remembered line in our literature subject said, “and then there were none.”

By a strange twist of fate, I wonder why Senator Ping Lacson is sticking it out with Erap like a “kapit tuko.”
Will he find comfort in Erap? I don’t think so.
The Manila dailies are already saying it. Erap is bound for conviction.
Ano ba yan, Ping?

I am happy to announce that come February 2, the members of the Philippine Medical Association of Georgia will start arriving to conduct a medical mission at the Regional Medical Center.
Don’t miss the event because the most modern medical equipment and state of the art facilities will be made available for you for free.
Main coordinators are my sister Dr. Grace D. Dizon and Dr. Vic Bautista. The project has been planned long time ago. It is an insurance of great success.

Many have called me to ask if I really meant to support the son of Mayor Benjie Lim if he runs for mayor as being talked about.
But of course! Brian Lim is a principled, suave, brilliant and one-word man.
The problem is, parang dumarami ang nagsasabi na tuloy pa rin si Benjie sa city hall.
In that case, I recommend Brian for vice mayor. Why not? It was done very successfully in San Carlos City.
Look at San Carlos now. A father and son team is very good.
But wait, I received word that the mayor and son team in San Carlos City will now be a reverse combination, Ayuy for mayor, and Jolly for vice mayor.
Ano ba yan?

Speaker Joe de V daw has put his foot down on the clamor for Gina de Venecia to run for the senate.
Sayang. ngayon pa that I am readying myself to deliver speeches for mam Gina? At saka ngayon pa na lumalakas ang administration!
Ano ba yan, Manong Joe?
