Purok Marcela Resort in focus

By Gonzalo Duque

SORRY to hear that our friend, University of Luzon prexy Macky Samson, Atty. Alvin Fernandez, et.al. are not happy about the Lingayen-Binmaley baywalk infrastructure!

Let’s evaluate the group’s complaint.

They say the dike blocks the view of the beautiful Lingayen Gulf, a slap to local tourism! They have already written the DPWH Region I office detailing their complaint.

We’ve been in praise mode of the baywalk as initiated by Rep. Pol Bataoil and Gov. Pogi Espino.  It’s superb! It’s also a time-saver as one can travel the entire length in 5 minutes covering the Lingayen -Binmaley stretch!

And if the ongoing Dagupan City counterpart is finished, wow!  This is one tangible reason we can be proud of our government officials for embarking on eco-tourism!

Kudos to the people behind it including in the Dagupan side, Cong. Toff de Venecia and Mayor Belen Fernandez.

Of course, not to be forgotten is the DPWH under Region 1 Director Ronnel Tan and DE Edita Manuel.

They are doing a good job.

We sincerely hope and pray, maaayos nila Rep. Pol Bataoil, DPWH, Macky ang problemang ito for the good of all soonest!

Speaking of Toff, we really doubt if his re-election bid will be affected by the candidacies of Alvin Fernandez, Councilor Red Erfe-Mejia, and contractor Winky Manaois.

What’s their beef against Toff? Maganda naman ang performance! At nandyan sina former Speaker Joe and his charismatic wife, former Rep. Gina behind Toff’s  candidacy!

By the way, we wish to push for Party-list “Inang Mahal” initiated by Gina De Venecia.

May track record na e…. her nationwide program for disadvantaged women!

The Haven has become a byword in social amelioration for our battered women!  Let’s go for Inang Mahal!

Christopher “Bong” Go’s whistle-stop in the province last week has generated a massive goodwill plus for him and the Duterte government. The guy, as we all know, is unassuming, talented and a faithful advocate of President Duterte’s brand of governance.  Senatoriable Bong Go is expected to win on Election Day. Marami siyang fans sa Pangasinan.

And it’s a safe guess his win is the province’s bridge to the Palasyo.

                  Let’s go Bong Go!

What are Duterte’s advocacies that the Filipino hoi poloi support with spontaneity?

No. 1 is anti-drugs. O, contest tayo, sino ang makakakontra sa ace performance ni Digong dyan?

The whole world is heads over heels over the President’s anti-drugs program. Imagine if it’s not Digong who won in the last presidential elections!!! We’d have a nation of drug addicts! Nobody would be safe.  Our homes would be in fear! And all the way to our schools, and mga anak at apo natin ay magiging biktima ng droga!

No. 2 sa anti-corruption! Ask any government head, local or national, about it.  They will answer in the affirmative. Marami na ang timbog sa anti-korapsyon! Hindi humihinto si Pangulo sa kampanya laban sa katiwalian!

No. 3: Environment and Ecotourism.  You know what happened in Boracay! In one fell swoop, naayos ni Pangulo. In a sense, that policy is now being done in the city and province.  In Dagupan, marami ang impressed sa ongoing clean-up of the Lingayen Gulf in Barangay Bonuan. Malinis na!

Kung walang political will, papano na tayo?

These programs are being bannered by Bong Go in his provincial sorties.

Please don’t forget our invitation to visit Pol Bataoil’s Purok Marcela Resort at the Baywalk. We were there recently.  It’s not only clean as a daisy.  You’d feel heavenly.  The resort, by the way, has a balikbayan visitor, Peter Salo, cousin of party-list congressman Ron Salo, who has been glued to the resort since October last year.

Peter, a buddy of Alfredo Dawana, does not only feel at home at Purok Marcela; he is at home!

Happy New Year to one and all!!!
