Worried and Sleepless?

REST: Relaxation, Equanimity, Serenity and Tranquility. This is a simple advice I give to friends and relatives who complain of their many worries and lack of sleep.
As we lie down in bed to sleep, we begin with prayer and positive thinking. Think and meditate on REST. Get yourself ready to sleep by singing or listening to some hymns and reciting some scriptures like Psalm 23.
Focusing on God and His word gives us peace and REST. Consider what the psalmist tells us: “I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8). Such assurance gives us peace.
Our activities during the day contribute to our peace of mind at bedtime.
Leonardo da Vinci had this observation: “As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so life well-used brings happy death.”
REST in peaceful and sound sleep!
