A DRUG peddler was shot to dead in a shoot-out with police elements Thursday (December 18) afternoon, in Brgy. Nuega in Dagupan.

Initial police reports disclosed that Abulais Macabantog also known as ‘Tikboy’ sustained gunshot wounds on his chest and head in a drug buy-bust operation conducted in his residence.

Macabantog drew his gun and started shooting the arresting team when about to be arrested after selling one sachet of shabu to the undercover policeman.

DCPS chief of police Superintendent Christopher Abrahano said 10 more grams of shabu were recovered from Macabantog’s house.

The suspect’s firearm, a Caspian 45 caliber pistol, was also recovered from the scene.

Case is still under further investigation, Abrahano added. (Johanne Macob)
