IT’S TWILIGHT TIME

Photos and narrative by Art G. Valenzuela

SUNSET..DUSK..TWILIGHT.. PUIRPLE SHADES.. Call it any name and still it creates a tender image that is almost sacrosanct and yet evocative. It means that another day is ending and soon the moments will transit into evening — with the family, maybe with a special someone, a quiet dinner for two and then an interlude.

Just the same, the setting of the sun is always a soothing sight to many, most especially to the romantically inclined persons among us. And who is not cued to romance at this time of the day. Most of all, it is that moment of the day when the “Angelus of Life” is recalled and recited. It is the time of day when labor ends and the tired body is longing to find comfort in the warmth of a bed. Then time to say “Goodnight,” but not goodbye.

Here are some of the best sunset photos that I have taken, all of which are along famous beaches and resorts of the country, from Bagac in Bataan to the Ilocos coastline that stretches for hundreds of kilometers from Bolinao in Pangasinan to Poro Point at La Union and up to the beaches of Pagudpod in Ilocos Norte.
