Dear Van:

It’s good you’re there to lead the charge to San Juan Hill.

I hope I could come but I can’t. I sent 12 letters today ( July 4th) to the Honorables Mayor, the Vice Mayor and members of the City Council to back you up.

It’ll take possibly two weeks to reach them. I hope, too, that everybody will dispatch a tsunami of messages to let the Council know how concern we are.

In your hands and everybody’s hand the memory of Ermin Garcia, Sr. will live forever.
