Terribly upset

Dear Mr. Garcia:
It is Sunday. I decided to pass by the studio of our news department. While waiting for the cameramen I clicked on your column and I read about your father’s death.
I can’t help feeling angered at what happened to him. Do you think if he was promptly attended to by doctors he could have lived?
My sincerest prayers for his brave soul and may you continue the legacy he left you with.
I am a true-blooded Dagupeño. I love this city to a fault, which means I always read your column.
Much respect,
Kareef arzadon
(Editor’s reply: Since there was a typhoon, there were not many doctors available at that time, and the emergency room was already full. So he was wheeled straight to the operating room soon as a rolling stretcher was found. That was the sad state of our government hospital then. Could he have lived? I do know the doctors who rushed to the operating room did their best. Three bullet wounds near his heart were fatal. Thank you for your concern Kareef).
