Why not Manaoag?

Well, here goes my 2 pennies….
Let them build the airport in Sta. Barbara. I believe there is a GREAT DRIVE (not demand) to have the airport built. I don’t see the economic advancement or the impact it would bring to bolster tourism in the province.
Baguio has an airport (or so I believe), there is one in the former Clark Air Base in Pampanga, one in Laoag and not mentioning the domestic and international airports in Manila. There may be more that I am not aware of. It certainly breeds question as to why an airport is needed considering the proximity of the available airports.
Indeed, why don’t we build one in Pozorrubio or in Binalonan or Manaoag? The church in Manaoag attracts a lot of visitors and I am willing to bet (well I don’t, I don’t gamble), let me just dare say, that Manaoag’s pull is greater than most towns when it comes to visitors/tourists/guests compared to the immediate towns around Sta. Barbara (with the exception of Dagupan, maybe). I have not been home in a long time so please, don’t quote me numbers, I am not that good, just merely sharing my observation and if I am wrong, then I am willing to say…I WAS!!!!
One other thing, Manong Joe DV needs to go home to his kabaleyans. Enough of the political carnage! Spend some time caring for your kabaleyans and show the country what Pangasinan can be with your enormous influence and help.
