To clarify my last post, I find it utterly stupid to outlaw gun ownership from private citizens when it seems that most of the shootings and killings are being done by those who are authorized to carry firearms.

The action of the governor banning gun-ownership is ill-conceived and does nothing to stop the killing. In California, the biggest proponent of gun control is usually the politician who has permits to carry concealed weapons. Washington D.C. has one of the toughest laws against gun ownership yet has one of the highest murder rates in the U.S.

If the governor wants to restrict gun ownership he should start in his own house and those of other politicians and their lackeys. It seams that the majority of gun killings are being done by politicians and those who work for them.
