Yes, enough is enough. Let’s stop corruption.

The Filipino people have been ripped off too many times. It’s been proven, 40% of gov’t revenues is lost to corruption.

The Casecnan scandal, the centennial commission scandal, the Emari scandal, the overpriced Macapagal Blvd, the poll automation scandal, the fertilizer for farmers scandal, the importation of rice from neighboring countries (we taught them how to grow rice at our own IRRI in Laguna) and do I need to scroll down the list?

And then this nuisance permit (building and driver’s permit) very difficult to get one. I applied for a driver’s permit at the Urdaneta LTO office, it is like getting a visa to visit Guam. I noticed, the drawer of the staff-in-charge has been opened wide, meaning I have to shove no less than P300 aside from the fees for urine and blood test. I need to commute with my jeep so I gave in. It is their cash cow and they have to make it appear complicated.

And if one is trying to cover up the divide and conquer negative image of the Dagupan Council to grant a building permit to MetroState, you’re wrong. All they have to do is give a copy of those minutes of council meeting unrestrained on the day the MetroState project was part of the agenda under discussion. MetroState is a professional builder and safety is their concern.

And if the City Engineer Rosario did her homework, she could have evaluated the benefit to cost ratio of the project to be greater than one. This is far more important than the miniscule building permit she had be been trumpeting about for months.

It is becoming more mainstream everyday in the political arena of the city council.
