Go for the jugular, Mayor Al!

Mayor Al Fernandez:
Forget Jose Mariano Cuna! If you’re thinking you’ll get even a single centavo from this dastardly and rotten rascal, it wouldn’t happen.
The sale was legit as far as he was concerned, though that such sale couldn’t go thru without the grease to smooth things out. The sale, however, was perspicaciously done that even Councilor Joey Netu Tamayo, a lawyer, was caught sleeping on his watch.
When the rancid mayor The Benjie and his . . . cabal of profligate clowncilors . . . dragged the city into this abyss of unheard corruption they knew such transaction is unlawful, but they gambled on the assumption they will get away with it, believing The Benjie is a god . . . mayor eternal.
Now, you are the big dog ready to bite. These people still holds you would not pursue them to the limits of the law . . . that you could politicize it, that your administration will do the dirty work to cover it up, to pay what they stole from the city. That this “looking-into” process is only for show. Are they right, Mr. Mayor?
Never mind these appeals. Never mind to give The Benjie a breathing room. Go for it. Go for the jugular. Not doing the rough and tumble is a disservice to the city.
It would be a reversal on what the people voted for, the clean-up of the foul smell coming from a decomposing carcass of Dagupan floating at Pantal.
Time to shelve your gentlemanliness. Time to roll your shirt and throw a haymaker. Your hands are full, Mr. Mayor, After Awai, you’ve the smoldering coals of a problem of McAdore Hotel and those other transactions done under the cloak of skullduggery.
You could be very busy for the next for years to settle all these things, to even the score, but that’s the only recourse you could do to make your administration believable. Less than that you failed.
The city legal eagle George Mejia is awaiting his marching orders. There’s no time to waste. Let him fly. Show Dagupan how you’re made of.
