Well taken, Mr. Carrera you said, Most bizarre engineering analysis and planning of the century”… And you continued on to say, “I pity those engineering students taking or took their classes under professors or instructors with such “bright ideas”.

Bizarre as it may be for the ideas of the city engineers but it was done at the turn of the century in Chicago, levees were built in N.O., etc.

In answer to the scientists that discovered the atomic bomb if they are well traveled like moi? I supposed Messrs. Fermi, Oppenheimer, Seaborg, Franck were local boys who after a cattle round-up decided to have a Manhattan in a NM local pub and out of the blue they decided to become scientists so they wrote a letter to FDR announcing their intent to discover a huge fireball to impress the world. And the rest is history.

Since you do not believe in field trips to learn and see “new” things all the space travels are for naught. Correct?

And you are right that people’s intelligence is not determined by the size of the land where they live or the size of their, a…  but how they can take in what they dish out.
