Let the chips fall where they may

Mr. Jerry G. Zapanta,
It is the present Dagupan City administration’s duty to rectify the wrongs that was done by the corrupt former mayor and his cohorts.
If Mayor Fernandez continues to honor the obviously flawed contracts that Mr. Lim had negotiated in behalf of the city, then Fernandez is complicit of the corruption as well. What is wrong is the forgiving nature of people like you who are always willing to give a free pass to corrupt politicians like Lim.
It is time to set a new tone of governance in Dagupan. Mayor Fernandez should go full speed ahead in uncovering all of the previous administration’s malfeasance and corruption and let the chips fall where they may.
It appears that you are dismayed that Urdaneta is about to overtake Dagupan to a first class city status. That, Mr. Zapanta, is no accident.
Doesn’t that tell you that Urdaneta is led by a better group of leaders than Dagupan’s? Accountability to the people and transparency of the city government dealings perhaps?
I agree that the city leaders should think about the future BUT forget about the last election? That Mr. Zapanta, is pure bullcrap.
The present administration should do everything within their power to undo all the anomalies of the previous administration and bring all the corrupt people to justice. That should serve as a deterrent to all the people who are up to no good.
