Why not a museum?

Few weeks ago forum writers broached suggestions of different ways honoring the late Ermin Garcia, Sr. for contributions and ultimate sacrifice he gave to the country.
Without disrespect to those suggesting a street named after him, or a monument erected and prominently displayed in parks or in the seat of local government, in my mind, need a thorough review.
Given the unwholesome attitude on majority of our countrymen in the ways streets, alleys, avenues, boulevards and highways are treated i.e., spitting, littering, urinating and other despicable and unspeakable activities, it will be heaping insult not honoring a man we regard a hero.
Aware how government crooks make a killing whenever and wherever streets and highways are constructed such as the Diosdado Macapagal boulevard, touted to be the universe most expensive short stretch boulevard, given such background in notoriety, I do not think the late Erwin Garcia, Sr. will be happy lending his good name to shoddy enterprise much less any badly maintained polluted street.
Having a government known for mediocrity and poor concepts of basic governance, erecting a monument could very well end up dishonoring the man instead of the good intentions in the first place either.
For beginners, erecting a monument then leaving it at the mercy of mother nature and birds answering call of nature, of mendicants and hawkers doing everything to deface it, in my opinion, is scandalous if not a signal of a decadently driven population no longer able to distinguish right from wrong.
What will be better and most appropriate in my opinion, is a museum that will house everything allowing his legacy to continue inspiring today’s youth.
It will be a proper gesture if a library in his honor constructed inside our premier university where students unaware of what he stood for will come face to face with history further enhancing their prospects of becoming good citizens.
Mr. Erwin Garcia, Sr. need to have his bust displayed in the capital’s rotunda together with other heroes and prominent figures deserving our respect and gratitude.
