Throughout the history of the Philippines there has always been trouble with the Muslim population(Moros. This will always be unless one of two thing occurs, the choices are clear. One. Either the peaceful Filipino Muslims stand up against those fighting to overthrow the Philippine Government, or. Two, the Government wipes out the Muslim population. There can never be peace unless those people who love peace and freedom proclaim in unity, “WE are Filipinos!” and take up arm against the rebel Muslims. During the Moro uprising US firepower and the .45 cal. automatic stopped the fanatical rebel. Let us hope that the Muslim population in Mindanao and elsewhere in the Philippines has the guts to stand up against those who are intent in murdering the non-Muslim population. There are many Christian groups ready to take up arms if all else fail. History should have taught the rebels what happened to the Muslims during the Crusades.
