Let’s celebrate!

IN a few days, 2014’s out and 2015 is in. A lot has happened in this year, both in the local and national scene- politics, showbiz, sports, business, name it. Good news, bad news, and the neutrals. I’m sure one of these days, a number of news and current affairs programs in the broadcast media will come up with features enumerating the big news makers of the year.
Personally, a lot has happened in my life this year. Last year found me in a a state of ‘lost’ for one reason or another; this year, I must say, is a year of me being ‘found.’ I have been found and I have found.
For one, I found myself doing graduate studies this year, and completed my second semester. I’m actually looking forward to the next semesters. In another important aspect of my life, love has found me again. That I’ve believed in love again, both in its goodness and madness. I have come across new books, new people, new experiences. I can say I am a year wiser, better now– surrounded, of course, by my all-the-time company, my family and good ol’ friends.
I’m not saying only good things have unfolded in my 2014. I’ve met failures, too. I’ve met sadness. I’ve met anger. I’ve met frustrations. But eventually, I let forgiveness, determination, faith, hope, and love to come in and stay. Undoubtedly, I or we all have the reasons to celebrate the year that was and the year that will be.
But it did feel as if time passed too quickly. This should reminds us to keep moving forward and not to look back. Or maybe, we can look back once in a while, but only to remind ourselves of the lessons of yesterday. As what I’ve read from one of new favorite books, “You only get one life. It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible.” You are still alive. Everything that you were not able to accomplish this 2014, you can always do in the coming year.
Let’s keep on working and sorting out all our goals. Let us keep on living. And. Let’s celebrate!
