Your take on the growth of the illegal fish just before the election defies logic. To say that it was caused by “reported contributions” to Mayor Lim’s campaign is HOG WASH!! Mayor Lim cleaned out the illegal fish pens.
The operators of the illegal pens are not stupid. What would prevent Mayor Lim from again tearing down the pens during his last term? The last Mayor Fernandez allowed the fish pens to flourish to such an extent that the rivers and its marine life were dying. It would seem more logical that the owners of these illegal fish pens be hoping that the next Mayor Fernandez would carry on with Al Fernandez’s former policies, do nothing.
Already, Her Highness has allowed the “temporary” existence of the illegal pens to allow the growth of the present fish in these pens. Remember, the fish in the pens are not on birth control, what happens to the off-springs? Will there be another “temporary” extension?
Also what plans does Her Royal Highness Belen have in controlling the proliferation of the fish traps? The too many of these traps can also do great harm to the rivers, not only destroying its marine life by impeding the natural flow of the rivers but also the navigation of its traffic.
Again, use the common sense God gave you. Mayor Lim destroyed the illegal fish pens, what would prevent him from doing the same during his last term as mayor.
On the other hand, Her Highness Belen already given her blessing to the illegal fish pond owners by giving them an extension, most likely the first of many. The operators of the illegal pens are hoping for a long and lasting relationship with Her Royal Highness.
