Bam Aquino is a future president

NINOY Aquino’s look-alike nephew, Paolo Aquino V, son of Paul Aquino, won the hearts of our LNU graduates last Wednesday.

He also did the same thing to the UPang graduates later on that day.

Sabi ng isang smitten graduating lady, “ang cute nya at super talino!” To which another girl said, “crush ko!

Ganyan ang dating ni Bam, mga igan. The night before, he disarmed political leaders and some media people at an informal dinner at San Marino clubhouse.

Bam easily gets along with people. He is the type that you wouldn’t want to let go in a conversation. Super intelligent and super pogi, as those two LNU lady graduates were overheard saying.

Mantakin nyo…Summa Cum Laude at the Ateneo where he took up BS in Industrial Engineering, a super tough course.

He, too, was Valedictorian in high school and the grade school. He has a post-graduate course at Harvard.

As soon as he joined the government as a young graduate, he was director of the National Youth Commission.

Bam founded his own business company that sought to transform his countrymen’s entrepreneurial spirit into fruitful ends. In our brief chats, we felt his passion as a future senator into crafting laws that would make Filipinos successful entrepreneurs. In short, he wants to see the Philippines teeming with jobs, yes, high paying jobs to discourage them from seeking employment abroad.

If you ask us, he easily passes the test for senator. Pam-presidente nga e.

Oo nga, as to his being the look-alike of uncle Ninoy, he took it good-naturedly.

Kasi idolo daw niya.

Let’s give him our support…Bam is a great hope of the young and all Filipinos.

We are happy to inform you that we recently joined Kabaleyan Channel simulcast with Aksyon Radyo, and in tandem with Freddie Fajardo.

OK palang ka-partner itong si Freddie. The late Jolly Resuello told us about Freddie as a good man, a description that broadcast reporters should aspire for: humble, responsible and walang shadowy past. He knows the job of a good reporter, objective, bihirang magkomentary unless necessary and not libelous.

How about us? You know our likes and dislikes, you get what you see and hear.

Tama, Kalaban ng mga nang-aagrabiado, ng mga balasubas at ano pa? well, always in accordance with good taste and the Rule of Law.

Oh, yes, we could be passionate in pursuing a subject but always observing utmost care not to overstep the bounds of Libel. We know our limitations.

As the great philosopher Voltaire said, “we may disagree to our hearts’ content, without being disagreeable.”

If there is over-stopping, we yield to the Court of Law.

Hindi pwede ang ngmamarunong-runong. Kasi, the security and welfare of society are at stake.

We were told, may nanlalait sa atin. Ay, ok lang, kung galit siya o sila, we warn them “baka ma-high blood po kayo, mainit ngayon. Di nyo na maiboboto ang paborito nyo. Relaks lang, mga pare!

Our friend Manny Roy told us Ramon Magsaysay must be rolling in his grave because the MetroState people are renting the place at P83, 000 a month!

Dapat P1.7 million a month!” he fumed.

He will elaborate on this in our kabaleyan channel program. Watch for it.

By the way, we have been receiving text messages since that day we filed libel complaints against broadcasters alleging that we at LNU were selling masteral and doctoral degrees.

Karamihan ng nagtext ay mga alumni who want to get back at the libelous broadcasters.

We told them more than 200 have either filed or would still file.

Know what? We felt a sense of mission on this matter. Being a victim, we see the crystal clear meaning of how it is to be a victim of false, defamatory and damaging reporting.

Ganito pala ang value ng libel law, we thought…to protect every citizen or institution from false and malicious reporting.

We shall not stop until we are vindicated in this complaint. Let’s hope this incident would bring about reforms in broadcast reporting in the province.

From sadness to light. Ched Regional Director Caridad Abuan came to our circle as an angel.

When she learned that our son Nanoy was hospitalized for dengue, she gave an off-the-cuff advice for the patient to try “talbos na kamote.” It’s been proven, she hinted.

Knowing her to be well meaning, we advised Nanoy to try the Kamote shoots.

Wow! From his 250 platelets that went down to 150 and later to 80, shot back to 130 platelets after taking Camote shoots.

We are profuse with gratitude to Dr. Abuan who cares.
