It always amazes me that people protest projects that will bring money into their community. To protest the construction of the golf course is pure folly. A professionally sanctioned golf course will not only provide jobs but create housing that will bring money into the area, more shopping centers, entertainment venues, etc., and most important, jobs.. Construction of any facility is a plus for not only the community but the province.
An example of a commercial development being beneficial to the city would have been the Dagupan Fish Processing Plant. The squatters of Sitio Russia protested the clearing of the land and the building of the plant. Had it not been for the weakness of Former Mayor Fernandez and his city council with their delay clearing the squatters from the land, the building of plant could have started earlier. Again, due to the lack of knowledge in legal matters (stupidity?) of Big Al and his city council, which included Madam Belen, the plant would be open would be in full operation today providing the city much needed jobs.
Lingayan, full speed ahead with your (world class, I hope) golf course.
