Re: Think about it

Foreign Affairs are best left to the experts. But having said that, public inputs and opinion should always be considered. Lessons learned from our friends teach us that without public support raising of an army is very difficult.

Foreign adventures should be weighed against Philippines self interest. Balance of economic, military, diplomatic instruments of power are considered in dealing with any country since they too are using the same on us. Historical loyalties should be considered but not trump our self-interest.

Should our great statesmen advocate for China and Philippine type of union like the European had formed should be critically considered. Personal favors in exchange for favorable treatment to any country should harbor toward treasonous conduct.

Our Foreign Affairs experts need to look deep so these types of advocacy would not hurt relations within the country. Bilateral treaty of common agreements of sharing harvest to a close country that the country does not even possess the ability to gauge agricultural output is suicidal. Famine in the Philippines should not be shared due to lack of foresight and diplomatic bags.
