Re: Keeping Pangasinan language alive

Project Sanengseng … is to keep the dialect true to form, to be expressed in local songs.

What a disgrace!

It dies before its birth.

I found this idea insulting, full of hubris to the Pangasinense, when the advocate himself … the poor Bishop Villegas doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Is it because Bishop Villegas, a transient not Pangasinense, the local tongue’s strange to him?

Let me straighten the Bishop’s grasp of Pangasinan – which he’s lacking in contrast on what he preaches.

SANENGSENG … is not interpreted meaning … sound. It meant … speed … and can be translated also in a Pangasinense word as … PELES.

SOUND … is “TANOL” in Pangasinan’s signification.

An old Pangasinan adage will apply to the Bishop … “ALISTON CAPACAPA!”
