The “No fishpens in any river” order of Governor Espino together with his reward against polluters is indeed a commitment to protect the environment.
May these actions of the Honorable Governor not be forgotten by the people of Pangasinan come election time.
I went around some parts of Pangasinan and was impressed seeing the rivers with its natural beauty and the legitimate fishponds along the rivers becoming productive once again. Now fishpond owners will not be forced to sell their fishponds for new housing subdivisions.
Why would it take a police officer to accomplish these things (infrastructure and government buildings development and upgrade and protection of the environment) instead of a civil engineer?
