The piece of resistance

Re: Ermin Garcia, Sr.
It’s a glaring fact, that in the Philippines … thievery, corruption and selling your soul to Lucifer, are the zenith of glorification, which brings the standard expression of: mayaman siya!
In complete disregard – where that loot came from.
I saw ….
While driving north on Edsa, a street named Ermin Garcia, Sr. popped out in my line of vision. A very small street signage in white lettering honoring a … giant of a man … who gave the ultimate sacrifice, that democracy might live. Not enough!
But Dagupan ….
What a joke! This city mired in CORRUPTION, don’t have the courage to honor him, but have the gall to splash … Joe De Venecia’s … name all over the rotten landscape.
It could turn your stomach every time you see Joe’s name painted on the crossover bridge in front of CSI City Center, as if the funds needed to build it came from his own pocket. What a shame!
The piece de resistance ….
The De Venecia Extension Road should have been named after Ermin Garcia, Sr.. But NO! JDV’s awesome power of coercion, and Alipio Fernandez’s weak-kneed administration didn’t reason out the need, that the time has come for Dagupan to honor her most … illustrious son.
Give me a break ….
What did JDV’s father do to honor him so profoundly with double indemnity?
Comparing this honorable man with Ermin Garcia, Sr,, is like a spit in the Calmay River from the top of the De Venecia Extension.
