Border patrol creation is useless if the existing regulators from WMD, DENR and other concerned agencies cannot even enforce the existing laws and regulations and prosecute those found to be in violation.
To date there are no recorded convictions or penalties of violators. The newspapers, TV and radio would be inundated with reports of environmental and sanitary violations if the DENR is doing its job.
So WMD and DENR, please spare the public from your usual “bola-bola” or “pampapogi” pronouncements, just do your job, period. Fishkill and red tide are problems that occur more frequently in recent years, yet no action is done by DENR.
Root of these problems is plain CORRUPTION.
