A woman scorned?

Re: Punchline
Any transparency in the running of the city government is most welcome as is the trimming of the city budget. In trimming the budget careful examination should be given to positions that are redundant in nature. I’m sure that Madam Fernandez in her many years in office, as has perhaps also the mayor, created positions for their friends. These “make-work” position should be the first eliminated.
As far as the personal reasons the mayor has against Her Majesty, in your words, “The poor guy is the only person in the city who insists that the commercial competition between him (his Magic Mall chain) and VM Belen Fernandez (her CSI Mall chain) is what the political tug-of-war of sorts in the city is all about.
Hence, the combative tone of Mr. Lim in his press releases is indicative of how far divorced he is from the realities in the city.” Could it not be that the opposite is true, that Her Highness is to blame?
To paraphrase the old saying, “Nothing is worse than a woman scorned or one that doesn’t get her behind kissed by everyone.”
