Good topic Roselle. You hit the nail in the head when you mentioned that public should be involved in finding solutions. There is no better solution than to prevent the crimes. But how can we do this if media reports only what is happening and will not report what might happen?
An example of this is a politician who is expanding his kingdom and in order to do that is for him to thrive from the jueteng money. Money is power. A power hungry politician will hire anybody by using the jueteng money to get his political opponents out of his way.
Masarap atang nakaupo kaya sisikmurain nito. Lunod na sa kapangyarihan ang mga ganong uring pulitiko kaya di magtagal ay darating yong panahon na kakayanin nong mga ganitong uring pulitiko na kahit buhay ay kayang bilhin sa pamamagitan nong mga hired killers para lamang mawala ang mga oposisyon. How can media prevent this from happening?
Tulad nong kaso ng mga Ampatuan. If the media had monitored their deeds, hindi na sana mangyayari yong karaumal dumal na masaker. I guess media did not do it’s assignment with regards to the Ampatuans. It is happening everywhere and not only the Ampatuans..
