The way to eliminate illegal gambling is to provide legal gambling.

Dagupan is blessed with beautiful beach and shorelines. Why not bring a casino/resort to Dagupan? A first class resort will bring tourist dollars to the city along with countless jobs. Waiters, cooks, maids and maintenance personnel will be hired to maintain the hotel. The casino will also need to hire employees. Also, think of the jobs created outside of the casino by the influx of tourists the resort will bring to the city.

Those against gambling always have the same arguments. “What, a casino? It will bring crime and poor people will gamble away their money.” People who gamble, rich or poor, will always gamble. A first class casino will have the proper security to prevent criminal activity.

I have owned a house in Reno Nevada for about 12 years. It about ten minutes away by car from several large casinos. The house is situated in a middle class neighborhood and the crime rate there is no larger than where I live in Union City California, very few.

Create honest, legal gaming and the illegal gambling will cease to exist.
