The prevailing problems in Dagupan are: illegal drugs which are clandestinely manufactured in a remote barangay, jueteng in some remote barangays, lack of jobs for Dagupenos that leads to to robbery and illegal activities, noise pollution created by motorcycles with noisy exhaust system so disturbing at night time. Pickpockets in market place, illegal fishpens.

These are the most apparent problems for now that remains to be solved gradually.

An additional requirement for motorcyclist is to impose maximum speed of 30 km/h in the city and barangay streets. They should be apprehended in case they are over speeding. Motorcycles must have clean plate numbers and no blemishes or stickers on the numbers and letters.

If found, police or barangay tanod must flag down the driver for proper inquiry. 
In case the plate number is dilapidated, they should be turned over to LTO for proper substitution.

Teach kids to report

Re: Editorial

Educate children to report any suspected characters peddling illegal drugs in the school campus. To report also their classmates who are using illegal drugs to their teacher/adviser.
