The law is crystal clear, pending cases do not count, so is tainted background unless the conviction is final and executory, you could still run.
If you are looking for delicadeza among politicians then you are looking in the wrong place. With political dynasty sprouting like mushrooms everywhere, we have a new game in town called MONOPOLY. It is all in the family.
Mag-ingat kayo sa pagbibigyan ng tiwala. Every body wants to run in guise of serving. Kanino ba kayo maninilbihan…. Sa inyong sarili, pamilya, kaibigan, cronies?
It is hard to convict the rich and the powerful, the politically well-connected but it is easy to go after those who flaunt their wealth lalo na pag wala namang negosyo kundi gobyerno.
These people should pay the right amount of taxes whether galing sa marumi o malinis sapagkat parehong pera naman iyan. All it takes is political will among our leaders. Kaya lang susunugin ba nila angkanilang sariling damit?
Look what happened to former Vice President Don Fernando Lopez and Emmanuel Pelaez who were men of impeccable character. They entered into a gentlemen’s agreement not to bribe the delegates in the selection of presidential nominee. The two gentlemen kept their word despite evidence that the other nominee violated everything that was agreed upon. The latter even sent his wife to do a little drama complete with crocodile tears.
Akalutan so beklew to. In politics it is a dog-eat-dog world. Sa Pilipinas walang natatalong kandidato because they claim dinaya daw sila. Whatever you lack in skill, character and public speaking, these can be compensated if you have lots of money.
