Re: Viewpoints

“Do not panic! Relax lang. Kayang-kaya ito.” Without God’s help, that attitude is indeed a ridiculous proposition! But with God, nothing is impossible. The problems of the nation are overwhelming. Left alone, we are lost, helpless and hopeless.

In the past, with God’s help, we were able to win over centuries of imperialism. We got rid of a dictator and a plunderer. Now, confronted by “mountains” of problems like graft and corruption, self-righteousness, hypocrisy and judgmental attitude, we need “faith that moves mountains.”

Let’s then confess our sins and repent. “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).

So, let’s renew our faith in God. Let’s pray for his help. Let’s repent of our sins. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil” (Proverbs 3:5-7).

With God’s help and blessings, we can say, “Do not panic! Relax lang. Kayang-kaya ito!”
