In the old system, winners were not known even weeks after the balloting, because of the tedious manual process.
With the new poll automation, counting of votes will be quicker, winners will determine maybe just an hour or by the end of the day.
The time for canvassing and tallying the votes would be shorter, giving the cheaters less or even no time to manipulate the ballots in their favor.
