Dear Mr. Castanaga:
Since when did we experience 40 degrees centigrade in the Philippines? Your recommendation to use wooden boats will require cutting of trees and regular maintenance to assure that it will not sink when badly needed.
Why not use recycled plastics with expanded polystyrene or polyurethane solid pontoons like those used in floating docks so we save the trees and minimize flooding, and make better use of the BASURA? I believe it is even better because it will not sink even during heavy storm or even if punctured unlike a wooden boat.
