Pangasinan People’s Coalition for Noynoy-Mar team

Gonz Duque

LAST Tuesday, it was great to break bread once again with our old partner, former Gov. Raffy Colet, lawyer Toti Baraan and his brother Raffy, and two journalists at his law office at Lenox Hotel.

The meeting was once exciting, powerful, and politically sensitive… maybe because it was inspired by a nationwide clamor for the ascent of Senators Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas to the presidency and vice presidency. There was felt a great need that a Pangasinan group be formed to organize our own movement for the Noynoy-Mar presidential tandem.

Our meeting was spontaneous, and those present never showed any doubt that the Noynoy-Mar team could ever be beaten in the May 2010 elections, that is, if the true will of  the Filipino people should be known.

Hmm, wadtan kayo la lamet ya  magagantil who would say “Gonzalo, angapo met so eleksyon ya malinis, anto ka?”

Call us any name, but we stand by that forecast, even how much the locos and manipulators will do their most sinister worst to thwart the real voice of the Filipino people, mananalo at mananalo yang dalawa. Why? Kasi pagod na ang bayan sa mga trapo, sa mga korap, sa mga managpalikdo ed totoo. Divine Providence and our people’s weariness with hopelessness and helplessness will make them win! Mi-sugal la ra natan, ag la ra antakot so totoo. Mark our word!

Did you know that our province gave Noynoy and Mar a huge winning margin when our rank and file were polled by SWS? Amta yo, medyo aka lua ak ta naikinon koy sentimento na aray taga Pangasinan. Ag tayo manaya nasaliw  awa? Kumon, pidasal yo pa met ya magnayon yan suporta tan pananisia ed aray duara? Abayag ti lan man hihikahos. We now need a break from this reign of hopelessness.

No, no, no, when we endorse Noynoy and Mar, it doesn’t mean that we are 100 percent anti Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Of course not. You, dear readers, have known all along what we have written in this column time and again. The fact is our political treatise is that PGMA is a product of destiny. She was destined to be our leader at this point in time.

Turn the hands of time for a while. Let’s not forget that no less than the Grand Patriarch of the Iglesia ni Cristo, the late Eraño Manalo, once asked the late FPJ and Ping Lacson to unite and not clash in the last presidential elections. They ignored him. Had they united, one of them should have been president, and the other vice president. Angapo ta anawet so ulo ray lalasi.

And now look at this duo these days! Singa ra aso tan pusa, o masahol pa! Amta yo, walay nanesaes ed sikatayo ya manpateyan iraya. Ay, katawan, picasi mo kami, ilaban mo kami ed tukso.

That’s why, we say, and we say it again, now with feeling, Gloria has a role to play in the country’s destiny. Even the bashing duo — Erap and Ping — who are both en route to hell have their own lousy story to tell.

We heard that our old pal, Benjie Lim and Oscar Orbos are rooting for Noynoy and Mar, too. Si kien kasi ey, FVR tan Joe de V? No onsilay ira, nataynan iray destiny, awa pare Jun?

We’ve been asked several times how would our brod Sec. Pingkoy who is always mentioned as a senatoriable or congressionable situate himself in the picture? We really hope he would join our cause. It would be tough for him, a fair haired boy of GMA, to get out and join the fast gaining, increasing and enlarging grand coalition for Noynoy and Mar and we have been using all kinds of seductive approaches, but Pingkoy has remained inscrutable. We’ll wait for a while. Bert Romulo and Bebot  Bello have gone ahead. Don’t tarry too long, eh brod? Or you would be overtaken by events.
