Kudos to Regional Trial Court Judge Mislang and the Court of Appeals for standing tall against the Dagupan City Council legal battle to stop MetroState from completing their commercial complex project at the former Magsaysay Market under a leasehold agreement.
A missing copy of the City Ordinance is a shallow excuse by City Engineer Rosario not to issue a building permit. All Engr. Rosario can do is access and peruse minutes of past City Council Sessions on the docket plain and simple.
As I said before, don’t kill the mother goose that lays the golden egg. We need investors to bankroll projects in Dagupan to create jobs and better opportunities for everyone. Instead of punishing MetroState, seize the moment and encourage them to build more. To deny MetroState is a disservice to the people of Dagupan. If MetroState abandon the project, what remained is an eyesore of rusting rebars and ugly concrete works.
Let the local taipans turn the economy around, improve the skyline of Dagupan and a trade center in Central Luzon.
