In just 2 years, Gov. Spines has done a phenomenal job!

YOU should have seen the newly renovated and beautified Provincial Hospital in Bolingit, San Carlos City.
In some respects, it is even more impressive than the Regional Medical Center in Dagupan City. It’s not only due to its spacious and newly spruced up land area and its impressive and clean premises.
The facilities and equipment are modern.
Last week — or was it the other week? —thegovernor inaugurated a modern dialysis machine, accompanied by Mayor Julier Resuello, of the hospital. It was during his birthday pala when the event happened. Happy birthday, Guv, and also, Mayor Resuello. Their birthdays fall on the same day, and they showed class when they marked their natal day serving the common folk in the name of promoting wellness and public health. In fact, brod Sec. Pingkoy is proud of the fact that Pangasinan tops in registering the biggest number of PhilHealth members. It’s a sign that in our province, people are averse to ill health, and this augurs to Pangasinenses’ positive outlook.
Going back to our workaholic guvnor, many are now convinced that his lack of visibility in social circles is due to his frequent and non-stop visits of projects, newly completed, ongoing and recently launched. He is one governor you should be proud of. Makulin too ya. Angoban yo ta matalag tayon makaalmoy na onyan lider.
He just marked his 2nd year anniversary as governor last June 30. Dakkel so naikinon to ya agawaan to. The Capitol building alone continues to impress visitors. And the work ethic of provincial government employees bespeaks of industry, faith in their leader, and commitment to public service.
Also recently, because of his string of successes, DOTC Sec. Larry Mendoza committed Pl00 million for the modernization of the Sual Port. Bet that?
As if that is not enough, we read in Gulf Star a report from world marine developer Wilson de Vera that the governor is on the forefront of a world-wide fish development program to snatch the marine wealth due us from the invading Chinese, Indonesian and other alien big-time fishers. Yes, this according to Wilson, is due to the visionary leadership of the governor.
Let’s salute Spines for doing well and great!

We are saddened by reports that former President Cory Aquino is seriously ill due to Cancer.
We treasure her for her role in restoring democracy in the country. In our personal case, it was she who named as acting vice governor with then Acting Governor Rafael Colet. While the papers of the other OICs were signed by then DILG Sec. Nene Pimentel, ours and that of Colet were signed by Cory.
Let’s pray that she would be free from further harm.

We received a letter from LTO chief Art Lomibao inviting us to his birthday slated yesterday. Thank you, Art, for preparing a grand party ala launch of your congressional bid.
Good luck, too, for your entry to politics and in a super-tough district ruled by former Speaker Joe de Venecia.
The terrain is familiar. We fought him twice, too. And luckily, we lost twice. Why luckily? We realized we were not cut for it. Mas ok sa edukasyon para sa blunt person ha tulad natin. But we learned a lot of lessons in that fight. If you like, we’d give you some pointers on how not be beaten by Joe because for sure he would be his wife Gina’s campaign manager against you. See us as soon as possible. Pero, ang lagay… he he. Biro lang, happy birthday!
