Despite the “concerns” of enviro-nuts the use of plastic bags far outweighs the so-called environmental harm these bags create. Collection barrels should be placed in malls where used bags can be disposed of.
The plan to ban plastic bags could be the cause of major illness.’ If reusable bags are not properly cleaned it could cause a wide spread epidemic of the E. coli and other germ borne diseases.
Also, using paper bags will continue to deplete the number of trees needed to replace plastic with paper. Education in the use and DISPOSAL of the bags can do more for the environment than banning plastic bags.
