You should know better, Jun Velasco, that in the world of boxing; anybody can be declared champion until he meets his match.
The hubbub raised after the fight, was a testament to people who has narrow visions on what they saw, that come what may … Pacquiao … should be the winner he loses or not.
What a shame!
And surprisingly enough, with your four(4)eyes you saw nothing, and sided unabashedly without second thoughts, that your emotion expressed in favor of Pacquiao, is bias and lacking the Socratic quote.
The non-debatable decision . . .
The opinion coming from your end condemning the fight being fixed, is pure balderdash. It will never happen in present-day Nevada where boxing, gambling, and all that jazz, are controlled tightly like a baby’s ass by the Nevada Athletic and Gambling Commissions.
The judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross gave the fight to Bradley 115-113, while Jerry Roth gave it to Pacquiao the same score.
Looking at the Compubox Statistics showed Pacquiao winning in every category, but what Ford and Ross saw, was extremely different from the machine, and the machine’s stats is highly questionable – when the boxers were left standing after twelve (12) rounds.
Duane Ford who has worked the square jungle of Nevada for almost forty years said; “I thought all the rounds were close, and Pacquiao missed a lot of punches and throwing badly.”
C.J. Roth who also worked the ring as a judge since the early ’80’s said; “I thought Pacquiao won the early rounds, and I thought Bradley won at the end.”
It should be noted: Nevada Athletic Commission chairman Skip Avansino said, “He stands by the judges anytime, any day.”
So, the idea to reverse the decision of the judges, is too late; “The carabao has left the corral.”
The Where’s Waldo stunt . . .
Everybody noticed that after the NBA game 7 Eastern Conference finals, which supposedly for the fight to start . . . Pacquiao . . . was nowhere to be seen inside the Grand Garden. It took him more than an hour to enter the ring.
He had retreated to an adjacent room from his training room to offer his prayers to his new-found religion and loosen up on a treadmill.
It’s weird! Something’s wrong when a boxer getting ready an hour before the fight.
Avansino twice approached Pacquiao to wrapped it up to no avail, and the possibility of calling off the fight came to his mind thinking Pacquiao was . . . sick.
The how to play the game . . .
The only way Pacquiao could have won the fight, was to knock Bradley down cold, but he’s only good in going all the way to twelve (12) rounds to collect his prize for an unconvincing fight.
The sore losers . . .
Those who came to watch the fight namely: Chavit Singson, Jinggoy Estrada, Joe de Venecia, could be out thousands of dollars betting on Pacquiao, were fuming mad.
But, should they?
The Las Vegas Sportsbooks . . .
But, to those who have eyes and brains on their heads, who saw what’s on the board should have made a killing. Prior to this fight, Pacquiao’s spread has always been -900 to 100 or -1000 to 100.
This time it was -350 to 100 … meaning … your $350.00 dollars will win $100.00 dollars. Why the sudden drop in Pacquiao’s favor? Because this time Pacquiao was questionable. Many believed Pacquiao lost the fight against Marquez.
