Youth leader (?) showed conduct unbecoming

By Gonzalo Duque

FOR sometime now, we’ve been disturbed by reports that an SK leader– questionably now — in Dagupan City led a group to attack physically their fellow youngsters simply on a negative instinct of “kursunada.

Yes, he was identified in news reports, broadcast, TV and print, as Chester Gonzales, who is also president of the city’s Sanggunian Federation! Agay met layan kapalaran, Mayor Benjie, amta ikikinon tayon peaceful city tayo.

The SK leader’s grandfather, Bonuan Binloc Barangay Chairman Federico Gonzales, is identified with Mayor Lim. Alagar ki pa, nanonotan tayo say amato ya nen SK leader insulat tilad ya for tolerating if not encouraging the illegal titling or acquisition of prime public lots along the Bonuan Beach. Whatever happened to that brouhaha that expose?

Kuya Joe, former Speaker, what’s going on in your backyard?

The trouble with our local laws is that so many violations are being committed right under the noses of our leaders, but nothing doing! You’re right, singa angapoy rule of law awa?

Back to this young punk. Probably he has forgotten that he is a public servant. Hmm, sicato ya may mabetbet ya ipoporek tayo ed aray ombaley. Dakkel so ontagam na posisyon ompiano manserbi, doma balet so gagawaen da.  Aderal so concepto na publik serbis agagui.

Makapermen ta doma la so mindset na totoo natan. Pasikatan, chartaan, lastogan imoralidad, ilegalida.

Ag ombayag onterak so bulkan, naapmon ira tay manpipikewet na consepto na pangserbisyo.

We are deeply scandalized because we have invested so much in the faith that the young will take over the reins of leadership of our country and community. Well, with what Chester Gonzales showed, what is the future of our young? No, we are not condemning him, although per exhaustive facts gathering, the blame is obvious. And no, we are not saying everybody is like him. There are plenty out there who deserve Rizal’s hope in our young.

We have no choice, agagui.  By the way, has Chester been officially charged? Ay lasi, ompiano korongen da lara tay asakitan? Aleg kumon agagui. Say nakaokolan naetday leccion yan  ogaw.

As we wrote this, we came across a biblical line, “by their fruits ye shall know them.”  Another thing, if Mayor Benjie erred in selecting his trusted men (human met lanti tay inaro tayon mayor), he should by now initiate something in order not to allow a repeat of this lousy embarrassment. The ball is in your court, Mayor.

We smelled something from a conversation between Mayor Benjie and Vice May0or Belen that took place recently. O, mankelaw kilalamet ed pangsingob na scoop na ayan kolumnista?

BSL: Belen, dapat oposan mo tay ipalagey dan SM ed inararon baley ta!

(Kimoliseng si nanam, manggogoy ulo to; diad nonot to wawaisan na  meyor to)

Belen countered, “Onyay maong ya gawaen tayo, meyor, no antoy kuanyo. Ona kini,  ta parehoy  negosyo timet. Insan imimis na aralem, singa imis na akaisa.

Ag akasel so Benjie. Imimis labat pero diad nonot to matinik met manayay  amiga. He simply said, “ok,”but he was gnashing his teeth… grrr.

End of the conversation. But political positioning, political interest goes on.

Agaylayan kapalaran, agagui. Mimisa ti ni ta manbawas tini  kasalanan.
