Regarding Congressman Jefferson, he WAS video taped and $90k was later found in his freezer (cold hard cash?). Until he was defeated during the last election he was allowed to serve on a committee at the pleasure of House Speaker Palosi.

I guess being a cold blooded Republican in a Democratic area proves that some of us Californians are still sane.
