We’d been in this before. Did you see any change in the concept how politics is played in the Philippines?
No! Not in your wildest dreams!
The average Filipino . . . your mediocre Filipino, is to be blamed why these onslaughts of corruption from Quirino to Arroy-co never cease to exist.
When your ordinary Filipino learned to sell his vote, would you blame him? Probability zip.
So, all this re-educating the PINOY in the way to practice his right to vote. . . is an overstatement.
Like you said, the electorate mostly belonging to the underclass every time a movie star is offered in the political plate . . . they go gaga mindless of the consequences.
The Philippines, is the Titanic of democratic politics.
