Re: 2012 Doomsday wizzle-wazzle

The long-count calendar of the Mayas, as called, approximately – five (5) millennia or so ago – will end on December 12, 2012.

In this calendar, will culminate the 13th Bak’tun, a 400 year period, but an unbelievable break in this sequence comes to the fore. This long-count calendar will reset itself at the end of the 13th cycle, meaning, it start all over again, i.e., like a car odometer reaching 100,000 miles turning around to zero.

Was the end of the world predicted by the Mayas according to this cycle? There’s no evidence, that December 12, 2012, is the end of the world as we know it.

Writings about Bak’tun 13, which seems to referenced this calamitous-event-going-to-happen are few, because most Maya scholars arguments basing on the Monument 6 stone tablet, is unreliably flawed. The words/symbols carved on the tablet were damaged beyond interpretation.

So, all these conclusions/predictions by several scholars are products of their imaginations fired-up by a lousy bottle of . . . cheap tequilla.

The horse’s mouth . . .

Kooks like this . . . Professor Jaime T. Licauco . . . and other gloom and doom followers of voodooism, are here to stir the ever-so fragile mentality of the Pinoy, who will listen to everything thrown at them.

The gifted province Pangasinan . . .
To invite this . . . snake oil salesman . . . Prof. Jaime Licauco, to regale this “illustrious” crowd of Rotarians on the ways of mumbo-jumbo should tell everybody how hackneyed Pangasinenses are.

The December 13, 2012 . . .

What will this screwball Prof. Jaime Licauco will tell the gullible Dagupan Rotarians, if nothing happens on this date because nothing will happen, unless a meteor 10 miles wide will hit the earth?

What the hell!! If this meteor hit will occur, there’s nothing to talk about, and Prof. Jaime Licauco won’t be around to talk-shit about Bak’tun 13, he should be melted in a blink of an eye.
