Something sinister

“My idol, my mentor, my hero”.

These words of affection, that Percival Barba professed in complete . . . subservience . . . to Gov. Espin-off denotes something so sinister.

It meant his job as the top law enforcer for Pangasinan comes second; to satisfy the whims and caprices of a governor who demands absolute obedience comes first.

Promises he vowed he would do upon assumption of office will be like those pledged by his predecessors. Just meaningless words caught up in the intrigue of provincial politics.

Que BARBA-ridad . . . what an atrocious way he could be when his profession is tarnished by dirty politics!

BARBA . . . a whisker on the chin of Espin-off to be shaved when its usefulness is over.
